Home : ActiveX : Active Query

Welcome.
Active Query allows you to include end user oriented SQL query builder into your application. Your users get the ultimate ability to build their own queries and it is not necessary for them to understand your database design or tables relationships. They do not see real tables and field names and see only the table names and field descriptions you allow them to see. Operators can be spelled out (e.g. "is equal to" instead of mathematical symbols), field values can be replaced with descriptions (e.g. "MasterCard" instead of actual values like "MC") that makes interface more friendly. You users can describe requests by creating their native language phrases and receive the results.

Active Query library is built on Simple Query technology. To learn more about Simple Query see its detailed description (with screenshots) and flash demo.

Active Query connects to database tables through the Microsoft ADO (ActiveX Data Objects). Therefore, if you have not installed ADO, you should install it first.

Active Query holds information about your database structure including tables and fields lists, tables links and conditional operations available for fields. The control itself (QueryPanelX) provides the graphic interface for query building and several methods for loading and saving queries and generating SQL statement.

Feel free to download trial version of the library. Trial version is similar to full version except one limitation: it shows nag screen during initialization.
You can purchase Active Query online (using secure server). Registered users get time unlimited technical support and free upgrades to all future versions.
